Would like to talk about "And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her lewdness."
I'm always here. KarmaKameleon 17:52, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
You have stated that the Roman Catholic Church never laid exclusive claim to the name "catholic" before 1870. What do you think it called itself before then? In the aftermath of the Protestant Reformation, the name "catholic" was very frequently used even polemically by its theologians and in official documents. And the use of the word "catholic" to distinguish it from others goes back even before that. I can spare just now the time only to send you this message. If you do not believe me, send me a message, and on my return I will look up some sources for you. Lima 05:37, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
