I find it interesting that you edit out Don Muckel's e-mail address and make a threat to block me from editing Wikipedia but yet you leave in that he likes littles boys.Oh and in case you didn't know,I wasn't the one who put in the likes littles boys part.I met Don Muckel and he does not come off as the type of man that likes little boys. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=J.P._McCaskey_High_School&diff=80764038&oldid=80764012 -Tailia Tali Manashirov

[edit] There's a difference between "information" and "vandalism."

"Freedom of information, uncensored, and in a professional format is an amazing thing." This quote from your self-penned description is ironic. You cut something I added to the "Studio 60" page because it wasn't "helpful." Information isn't supposed to be helpful, it's supposed to be informative. Piss off.

Ahem, emphasis on the "professional format" part. It may have been in good faith, but your edit doesn't conform to wp:NPOV. If you can add this information in a more encyclopedic format, and add sources to back up what you say, then there will be no problem with your edits remaining. However, accusing someone of being a drug user without sources, using terms like "bitch slapped back to reality" and adding "twat" into the titles of actors is really unprofessional, and has absolutely no place on an encyclopedia. I understand that you are upset over this, but you need to realize that this is an encyclopedia, and it has editing standards. This isn't a free-for-all place to add unsourced information & accusations. It seems your edits were in good faith, though, and I thank you for your attempts to contribute to this site. If you want to ensure that your edits are helpful are more in line with the standards of this site, you might want to look up the different guidelines and policies of this site. --Karafias 21:56, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Lee Corso change...

Unhelpful--perhaps, but true. Truth sometimes hurt! -- 208.61.109.140 (Talk)

It may be true, but it needs to be worded in a professional manner. For instance, you could add a criticism section and say something like "Some critics think that he tends to favor Notre Dame more than the other teams[1]." Be sure to add a reference to something like that (find a reputable website that backs up what you're saying). If everyone added unsourced, insulting statements on the pages of everyone they didn't like, this encyclopedia would be a mess. If it's the truth and you can prove it, word it professionally and it will remain. --Karafias 20:26, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Marvin Griffin Article

I have found a Wikipedia article on Marvin Griffin that is very close in how it is worded to this article: [2]

Can you tag this article for review? Also, I found a couple of lines where citations were needed. What is the wiki code to do that?

The tag is " {{fact}} ". Thank you for your interest in contructively contributing to this website. I've tagged the article for cleanup. --Karafias 20:55, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

It took me a while but I figured out why you thought my edit had been "unhelpful" All I was doing was moving the titles from "confirmed" to "released" but I saved the "confirmed" and not the "released". To the outsider it may have appeared that I had just removed a whole second needlessly but that wasn't the case. I have completed the edit and it should now be correct and reflect the current situation

[edit] Wikipedia lies, duplicity and Kit Carson

Sir: Glad to meet you. I am a 67 year old ex-history teacher. I have dedicated the last few years to studying the life and times of Kit Carson.

I will endeavor to find the proper, right and correct ways to get my info on Kit Carson to Wikipeida... B U T M E A N W H I L E YOU MUST REMOVE THE LIST OF FALSE AND MISLEADING QUOTES ABOUT KIT CARSON THAT I SUPPLIED U N L E S S you preface the list with the statement that they "ARE FALSE AND MISLEADING."

How damned outrageous that you (or someone) should use all those quotes that I found and sent in, and delete EVERY OTHER COMMENT I MADE!!!!!!!...(except the quotes from Richardson and Lipps.) Such tyranny is not what I expected to find on Wiki!!!

Next. What is this determination to misuse the English language and confuse the words Legacy and Legend. AND THEN...to add to Kit Carson the word "Reputation". What's up? There is no reference to "Reputation" under the names of similar American historical characters such as: George Rogers Clark, Daniel Morgan, Stephen Decatur, Jr. John C. Fremon and Stephen W. Kearny What am I to beleve....only Kit Carson has a "Legacy and Reputation"; while all of his contempraries simply have "Legacy" (except Dan Morgan)...and the 2nd word under "Legacy" is "legend"...and as I have said several times: LEGACY AND LEGEND ARE POSITIVELY N O T T H E S A M E !!!!!

SIR, I detect a fundamental prejudice rooted in native american activism/racism that comes out as anti-Kit Carson. The current Kit Carson site gives weight to reports by Indians in regards Kit Carson, but does the current Wiki site on George Patton include weight from Nazi soldiers? I see no weight givent to the Tories that were fighting against Daniel Morgan, no weight given to Barbary Pirates who fought Stephen Decatur, Jr. no weight given to Californios who fought S. W. Kearny...but with Carson, we get the insolent coments from pro-Indian people...insipidly worded:"less benign view..." and then you list the nine FALSE AND MISLEADING STATEMENTS ABOUT KIT CARSON THAT I SUPPLIED TO WIKIPEDIA! BUFFALO DUNG!

So I will rewrite the ENTIRE Kit Carson piece and submit it in what I hope will be the Wiki 'sandbox." I will invite any one you like to read my piece, and if I cannot back up what I say with a factual record, I will change or remove it. But if I can, then it should NOT be removed.

I await your comments...pardon my passion, but lies and false statements about Kit Carson drive me to great energy!!

C. E. Cazedessus II, Chimney Rock, Colorado.

What needs to be changed then?

stop deleting my stuff! He's all right with it. The whole world needs to know he's fucking gay.

You might weigh in on the debate on Kit Carson, involving User:Cazedessus and NPOV. [edit] How do you make a value judgement regarding the importance of two people with the same name?

Is it fame or infamy? Is is their humanist value? If you are a humanist why do you care about sit com actors more than real health care profesionals?

[edit] Your friend, mozman453

I would like you to revert your change concerning the debating team of Hampton, New Brunswick. This team does exist and is still in existence. Not only that, but what would make it seem as if it were a fallacy? Ranking 8th in the debating championships isn't a stretch at all. We're a very small town, and it meant a lot to us. For Heaven's sake, you let that "Sir Markus Perry/Sir Glenn Hall" thing get in there, and our contribution was actually correct.(For future reference, Canadians can be knighted, but cannot have the title "Sir" anyhow. I'm surprised it's in there!)

[edit] March 31st thing

Apprently Amazon has March 31st listed as the release date for Halo 3, that may be why people are adding it to the article. Until Bungie says something though, it's probbaly just a rumour. Bronzey 11:46, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

Well, if it continues we'll just have to keep reverting I guess. Bronzey 07:31, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] House Made of Dawn (analysis)

Just FYI, I was the one who prod'd this, which HQCentral reverted as vandalism; he removed your AfD tag as well and berated me for restoring it. In case you feel strongly about it, take a look at the talk page. Cheers, Her Pegship 13:03, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

I just received a message accusing me of vandalizing an article about a silk spider or something. Beyond being something that I have not vandalized, this particular article is one that I have never even read. I'm not sure what method you used to identify me as your culprit, but it's ineffective, just to let you know.

ML —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.99.84.7 (talkcontribs)

Nononono, I didn't mean you vandalized it; I just saw that you had tagged it for deletion and that HQCentral had removed your tag. No harm no foul, just a note. Cheers, Her Pegship 23:20, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I concur with Mozman453

I was rather surprised that you deleted the segment mentioning the debate team. The information was accurate, and it was of some importance when you consider the size of Hampton. Just because we're a part of a small town we can't have extensive information about us!? Sure it may seem like nothing to you, but we haven't had much to cheer about since John Peters Humphrey was one of the guys who helped write the declaration of human rights for the U.N. I hate to bother you, but it bothered me immensely. Is it vain to love your town? We're not promoting anything. No one is being hurt. The edit seems to be nothing more than a case of wanting to exert some clout on your end. Ironmaskedman 22:52, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Auto reverted changes to Great Depression

I noticed my changes were auto reverted. if you view the changes, you can see that they were entirely appropriate. The section on capitalism is extemely ideological. I just labeled it for what it was. Really, if you value NPOV it should be deleted, or placed in the contexts of expanations from other ideologies. I'd appreciate a review of this matter.

[edit] Edit attempt

Hi

I tried to make whatI think was an appropriate edit to the Great Depression website. My attempt was auto reverted. Can yu tell me why that happened to me? Also please review the change I tried to make and see if you agree with my point -

Section on capitalism is entirely a radical ideological point of view. From a NPOV it should be edited or deleted or placed in the context of other ideological arguments.

Thanks

PS I appreciate your consideration with the email.....

[edit] Editor

I am new to Wikipedia, are you an editor? If so, can you explain to me why other web sites are allowed to post articles from their sites on topics like female ejaculation, who also sell things and are site is not? I am curious considering that I am a professional sexologist and write such articles for a living. Is there a more appropriate way to provide the information and still link to our site?

Should I create a separate site for articles with no products so that I can have some of my work sited? Will having a link to our store on such a site be a problem? I am seeing many other people do that and am not sure why my posts are being rejected.

[edit] Edits to Tila Nguyen

I wasn't vandalising. That information was already posted on th page. There's no reason for it to be up twice. Although some was new, some of it should either be removed or added to the info box at the top of the page. BishopTutu 19:04, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Removing Our Article From Sex Toys

We object to you removing our article which was not promoting products from our educational site NASAE.org. Considering that under the term Sex Toy you allowed the Sinclair Institute to be listed and promote the sale of their sex toys, yet you won't allow us to educate consumers on the toxins in sex toys in an article that does not advertise sex toys seems rather like discrimination.

We would ask that you allow us to add the article as it is a well needed one in the industry-

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Relic_Online_News.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Relic_Online_News.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rockfang (talk) 11:11, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
