User talk:Kar98
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia!
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- If you haven't already, please add your name to the new user log to let others know a little about yourself.
- Read the article describing how to edit a page and feel free to experiment in the Sandbox.
- When editing pages, use the preview button before submitting and try to fill in the summary box for every edit.
- Eventually, read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk or ask me on my talk page.
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!
Jrdioko
P.S. One last helpful hint. To sign your posts like I did above (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).

[edit] Whaley House
Sorry about having to list Whaley House as a possible copyright infringement. It's just that when a new user starts posting material that appears on another web site, the overwhelming percentage of the time it's a copyright violation. The page is now restored.
I'm assuming that the creator of the page, User:68.92.125.119, was you before creating a username. You may want to request a change of attribution for the edits, although that tends to take a while. It takes developer access, and there aren't many of them.
You may also want to take a look at the work done by JCarriker, who has displayed quite an interest in the Marshall, Texas area. -- Cyrius|✎ 05:13, May 12, 2004 (UTC)

- Not a problem, it was a reasonable assumption the text was merely ripped off, giving the odds and the lack of a proper username. Yes, 68.92.*.* was me, but it does hardly matter /who/ provides the content, as long as the facts are correct and nobody's rights have been infringed upon. I did notice JCarriker's work, and as I'm learning the Wikipedia syntax, I'm sure I will be able to contact him through the page pretty soon ;) -- Kar98 11:01, 12 May 2004 (UTC)
- Hephaestos has nominated the Marshall article to be a featured article. Pleasevote on the nomination.

[edit] Hey!
Marshall's going to be on the main page on August 3, think you can help with its review its subpages? Thanks -JCarriker 22:09, August 1, 2005 (UTC)

- "Steal" what you want from www.courthousemuseum.com; I'm kinda busy there right now, but will still contribute here.Kar98 23:11, August 1, 2005 (UTC)
- Likely, I stood right in front of your house to get a of the Allen House. BTW, Who knew the Viaduct was soooo long; liked to kill me walking over it. I think the current Old Courthouse has nebulous origins, ironically I may have been the person to upload it, so I'm pulling it to avoid the possibility for trouble. -JCarriker 22:28, August 2, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Kiwi
A kid in Nebraska just tagged the image of Erdal in Shoe polish for deletion. Someone earlier removed the link to Erdal's website - I put it back. The kid has not responded to me yet. I thought you might be interested. Metarhyme 22:01, 31 December 2005 (UTC) -- I retagged it - maybe he'll let it stand. Metarhyme 06:21, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Threeoaks2004.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Threeoaks2004.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Whaley9081820.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Whaley9081820.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 10:33, 28 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 10:33, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Threeoaks2004.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Threeoaks2004.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Shyam (T/C) 10:34, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

religion section in Marshall, TX
you need to add a religion section in the Marshall, TX article. Its a joke that their isn't one now. I think it was diliberately excluded by the person that wrote it.

Please do not add inappropriate images to Wikipedia; it is considered to be vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.--Bongwarrior 22:14, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors. --Bongwarrior 22:14, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Fuck off, kid. And quit reverting my edit. Because, wouldn't you know it, YOU appear to be engaged in an edit war. So buzz along. Or at least try to explain why you seem to think the picture of a skank in the article about skanks is inappropriate.Kar98 22:21, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
