Talk:Karpos
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
What is the convention for spelling of greek mythological names? It seems a romanised spelling is more common (which would be 'carpus' not 'karpos'), but less true to the original greek. i used 'karpos' for this article partly because carpus is already an article about bones. As the spelling convention should be consistent within the page, i end up with zephyros (where his actual page is named zephyrus), khloris (not chloris) and kalamos (not calamus). So there's a dissonance with the other pages.... anyone want to rename this page as carpus (mythology) or some such? or instead rename all the other pages with romanised spellings of greek names? -- ntennis 3 July 2005 03:15 (UTC)
