[edit] TIMELINE QUESTION

The first section states: "Most fossils date from the Mesozoic Era to the Middle Ages in the history of Earth." If we read this literally, the available fossils run the gamut from the Middle zoologic period until nearly today (the "Middle Ages" refers to the 1100-1500s, which geologically speaking was just yesterday afternoon). This is obviously (at least to me) an error. Could the author have meant something else by "Middle Ages"?Raymondwinn 21:55, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
