Talk:Karoo ISP
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Some users of Karoo's ADSL service may not be happy with what they are getting (or think they are getting compared to the rest of the country), but remember this is an encyclopedia.(Acwalby (talk) 15:01, 8 December 2007 (UTC))
This article is biased. Karoo broadband does operate under monopoly conditions since they refuse to unbundle the local loop. Meaning that alternative broadband suppliers cannot operate within the kingston communications network.
They don't refuse, and the network is open, if you want to complain, complain to those ISPs that see Hull as a worthless operation - not KC.--83.100.165.84 20:09, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Karoo Packages
I believe this section should be changed to a more neutral wording. Particularly this part:
"This is a measure implented by many other ISPs throughout the UK, however many customers whom have changed between different packages experience absolutely no difference in performance due to the poorly implemented traffic management system Karoo imposes on its customers."
It seems to me to be an opinion. I'm having trouble wording my argument for this so I'm hoping people can see what I'm getting at. The lack or a citation should also be noted.

I do not think you will get neutrality when talking about KC due to the flagrant disregard they show to their customers. You only have to do a search on the web for Karoo and you will find an abundance of disgruntled users. There is even a website for their customers to come together and swap horror stories. www.karooforums.net. I do note that the "Karoo Praise" section is totally devoid of any entries! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.195.236.131 (talk) 08:56, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Supplemental
I'm afraid I didn't noticed the disputed neutrality banner on the article before I made my comment above. Apologies.

[edit] Criticism
I feel this section of the article is not necessary as it is aimed at Kingston Communications and not Karoo. It should be removed. (Acwalby (talk) 14:48, 9 December 2007 (UTC))
