QUOTE Most of the nightlife in Karlskrona is located around the street Ronnebygatan. As a result, Ronnebygatan has been reported as being one of the most dangerous streets in Sweden. All together though, the city Karlskrona is not a dangerous city to visit.
Not dangerous? Bah, we have rape/assault cases every week. Hoglands park is also rather dangerous, not only Ronnebygatan.
QUOTE The most important day in Karlskrona is the day before midsummers eve. On that day a big fair takes place and attracts tens of thousands to visit Karlskrona. The fair is called Lövmarknaden - the Leaffair - and is very popular to the locals.
Most important? Bullshit. Sailet is more important. Lövmarknaden fucking sucks.
QUOTE Every year in late July/early August a popular festival called The Sail takes place in the harbor of Karlskrona. Usually it is a place where families go to have something to eat and drink, and perhaps watch the sailing boats lined up at the pier.
Families eat and drink? Watch the sailboats? Sailet is so centered around partying and alcohol that people even drink the soap in the portable toilets because there's alcohol in them.
Lies, all lies. Besides, you forgot Drakbåtsfestivalen (Dragon Boat Festival). I wonder if any of you have even visited Karlskrona?
[edit] visiting Karlskrona
If I am going to Karlskrona in September, what is fun to do there71.227.187.24 00:30, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
I've been there a few times 10 years ago and think it a great place.
- I'd just say you can talk walks, it quite nice to walk over the bridges there. Take a look at the market square, sit and take a beer. It's not a big town. Maybe you can visit some of the sights there. The tourism information, right at the market square, will tell you about those. / Fred-Chess 23:14, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Residence city?
I don't think this is a very good translation of the swedish word "residensstad". It sounds more like a hotel name. A residensstad is a capital of an administrative province or county (sw. län), called so because the governor has his residence there. Capital or seat is better. --Muniswede 07:10, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
