[edit] Are there two FFs or two RRs?

New International Encyclopedia spells his name this way: Karl Helferrich. Which spelling of his name is proper? I am perplexed. GhostofSuperslum 12:26, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Going by the German version of his name (see the German wikipedia article), it's as indicated on the page, Helfferich. There are a ton of variations on the spelling of this name, but I'm pretty sure that this is correct. Of course, I might be biased, since it's how our family spells the name, but I'd trust the German biographer and his own works and publisher before the encyclopedia. New International Encyclopedia contains a host of similar errors. I am surprised by them. It helps to know the ones that exist. Thanks. GhostofSuperslum 18:25, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
