[edit] Spelling of name: Abdoul vs. Abdul

The spelling of his name is Abdul and not 'Abdoul'. I propose redirecting the page to 'Karim Abdul Razak' from Karim Abdoul Razak.--Natsubee 23:26, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Why was this page redirected from the correct spelling of his name, which is Karim Abdul Razak?--Natsubee 00:46, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
I also always thought that the correct spelling was Abdul. My guess is that it was redirected because Abdoul gets more Google hits (and FIFA pages spell it that way), so I left the article name as is (although added a note with the alternate spelling to the lead). The best source(s) are possibly the Ghanaian ones. Whatever the correct spelling is, it should be reflected in the article's name. --ChaChaFut 16:31, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
His full name is actually Karimu Abdul Razak Tanko as found in this aritcle. Any one who really knows Razak would most likely search for Abdul Razak and only come across this page after redirects as the spelling is wrong. I personally knew him as Abdul Razak Tanko. The Karimu is new to me but is obviously his dad's surname. I still think the page name should change though. If I were Razak, I would not be happy my name has been deliberately spelled wrongly. He is still alive!--Natsubee 16:44, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Moved page as per this discussion to Karim Abdul Razak, due to evidence showing it as the correct / most widely used spelling. --ChaChaFut 17:56, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Correct - maybe, but not the most widely used, Abdoul gets almost twice more google hits, hence is the most widely used spelling, thats why I created the page as Abdoul, although being an encyclopedia, wikipedia must use the correct one and if youre sure Abdul is the one, let it be like that. --BanRay 08:46, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks guys for the corrections. Sorry i'm late to this discussion. Natsubee thanks for your efforts in getting this corrected. Deciiva 06:19, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Club (s) in the UAE

Some sources (notably the UEFA link) indicate that he played for Emirates SC (which I believe refers to Al-Emarat). Is this an additional club or is it a discrepancy with what the article currently shows? --ChaChaFut 19:50, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, no idea about this one. --Natsubee 09:46, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
