[edit] HAND MISSING?

I'm not sure if the hand was actually supposed to be missing or if that was supposed to be a joke she was playing on her collegues. If you notice in that episode she openly uses two normal hands for the rest of the episode. Either that was a massive production error or it was supposed to be a joke amongst the characters.
