Talk:Karanga (Māori culture)

[edit] Major rewrite - weddings?
Firstly, this article should probably be renamed karanga and disambiguated from the african language and the Rhian Sheehan song - Te is simply "the". Secondly, the first draft of this looked really strange to anyone who's passingly familiar with Maori culture. While karanga might form part of a wedding ceremony in a certain context, karanga are much more general and can form part of a huge range of ceremonies, weddings being a minor and rather touristy latecomer to the mix. I've added in the bones of what their form and function is, but there's definitely scope for some real expertise to be applied here. --Tirana (talk) 01:33, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
