[edit] Proposal

I propose that the selected picture, biography and article be changed on the first day of each month. I think it is a good idea to evolve a consensus on likely candidates for these categories. Please provide your comments and also on your suggestions of likely candidates -- Amarrg 05:59, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Good proposal. But I think once a month may be too long. How about once in two weeks? I created the portal long back but I know we have slackened in keeping it updated. One of us should probably take responsibility to do the routine changes like it is the case on the other portals or we all can take turns maintaining it, say one of us takes care of it for a month or so. But before all this, I think we should get it peer reviewed once by the community for MOS issues etc., and then maybe shoot for a "Featured" Portal tag. I have taken a look at some featured portals and I think with a bit of work, we should be able to get the portal featured. Sarvagnya 07:09, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Couple of portals I particularly like for the design aspects are India portal and Ayyavazhi portal. May be if a fresh pair of eyes look at them, we may get some ideas for our portal. Sarvagnya 07:14, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
