Karyn Paluzzano

Karyn Paluzzano (b. 1960), is an Australian politician, elected as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly representing Penrith in 2003. She is a member of the Australian Labor Party. Karyn was elected on 24 March 2007 again for the electorate for Penrith for her second term.[1]

Married to Robert and have three children, (Edward, Victoria and Elizabeth). She has lived in Penrith and Lower Blue Mountains for over 42 years. Employment: Visiting Lecturer 1995-2002, Australian Catholic University, University of Technology-Sydney, and University of Western Sydney; Department of School Education- Senior Education Officer Consultant in Human Society and its Environment (HSIE) and Environmental Education; 1995-2002 Casual Primary School Teacher; Local School Teacher at Emu Plains, Noumea (Mt Druitt) and Werrington country Primary Schools 1986-1995; Blacktown Hospital 1980-1982 and Jamison (now Nepean) Private Hospital 1983 Radiographer.

UWS (Nepean) Master of Education, Nepean College of Advanced Education, Bachelor of Education and Diploma of Teaching (Distinction), Associate Diploma in Medical Radiography. Secondary: Nepean High. Primary: Glenbrook and Lapstone Primary Schools.[2]

Local sporting groups, active in both St Josephs Soccer Club and Penrith RSL Netball Club; Actively involved in Emu Plains Little Athletics Club; Lower Blue Mountains Rotary Club, Exchange Student. Sponsored by Lower Blue Mountains Rotary Club to spend a year in South Korea on cultural exchange; Glenbrook Girl Guides, awarded the Queen's Guide Badge;Olympic Volunteer - Team Leader, Penrith Whitewater and Penrith International Regatta Centre; Cleanup Australia Day - site organiser 1999-2005. Patron for Various community and sporting groups: Nepean and District Historical Society; Glenbrook Swimming Association; Greater Western Football Association; Nepean Blue Mountains Cardiac Support Group Inc; Penrith Cricket Club; Surf LifeSaving NSW; Penrith Poultry Association Inc.[2]
