The Karyakshama Seva Padakkama (kāryakṣama sēvā vibhūṣaṇaya, "Efficient Service Medal") medal awarded to Warrant Officers and other ranks, is a reward for long, meritorious, loyal and valuable service of proven capacity in the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, and, is governed by the proclamation dated 07 January 1986. The medal shall not confer any individual precedence. It replaced the Efficiency Medal in 1972 that was awarded to volunteer other ranks of the Ceylon Army.
[edit] Eligibility
- Warrant Officers and other ranks of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force who by or after 22 May 1972 have completed 18 years qualifying service as hereinafter defined shall be eligible for the award of decoration.
- The period of service requisite to qualify for the medal shall be of 18 years efficient service.
