Karuvatta is a village in the Karthikapally taluk of Alapuzha district of the South Indian state of Kerala. Kauvatta lies on the borders of kuttanad, one of Kerala's primary rice producing regions. Karuvatta has a railway station as well as good road connectivity as the NH 47 passes through it. Mannarashala Nagaraja temple is around 4 km away.Haripad is the nearest town. Karuvatta is also famous for its annual snake boat race or [[vallamkali]].Inland water way is passing through this panchayath. Most of people engaged in agricultural field.
Karuvatta is well-know for its communal harmony. There are so many temples, churches and mosques in this small village. The two major temples are Thiruvilanjal Durga Devi Temple and Karuvattakulangara SreeKrishna Temple.
