Karuvarakundu is small town in the eastern part of Malappuram district. It is situated at 28 km from Manjeri and 10 km each from Melattur and Kalikavu. River Olippuzha flows through the town, which is a tributary of Kadalundippuzha. Karuvarakundu is very near to the Western Ghats and hence prone to landslides. There are many plantations in and around Karuvarakundu.
