Karloff Lagarde

Carlos de Lucio Lagarde, best known as Karloff Lagarde (July 27, 1928 – August 31, 2007) was a Mexican professional wrestler who was immensely popular during the 1960s and 1970s.
Born in Zapotlán de Juárez, Hidalgo, Lagarde debuted in 1950 in Hidalgo State [1], and his team with Rene Guajardo was arguably one of the top five teams in Lucha Libre history.
Through his career had faced most of Mexico's top stars of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s including the legend Santo, El Solitario, Mil Máscaras, Black Shadow, Huracán Ramírez, Gory Guerrero, Rey Mendoza and Perro Aguayo[2].
Lagarde's nephew is also a wrestler, taking the name Karloff Lagarde, Jr.
Lagarde passed on August 31, 2007 after spending numerous weeks in poor health following a stroke[3].
