Karl G. Heider

Karl Heider (born January 21, 1935) is an American anthropologist whose work ranges from psychological anthropology to visual anthropology. He is the child of psychologists Fritz and Grace (neƩ Moore) Heider. He has two brothers: John and Stephan. John wrote the popular "The Tao of Leadership".
Heider was born in Northampton, Massachusetts. In 1956, he earned his B.A. in Anthropology from Harvard College (with his first two years spent at Williams College). He spent the year after graduation on a Sheldon Traveling Fellow.
