Karim El Ahmadi Arrousi (born January 27, 1985 in Enschede, Netherlands) is a Dutch-born Moroccan footballer who currently plays for FC Twente, but will play for Feyenoord, starting from July 1, 2008. El Ahmadi played for the Dutch national youth teams, but opted to represent Morocco at the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship in the Netherlands. On April 16, 2008, it was announced that El Ahmadi signed a 5-year deal with Dutch giants Feyenoord for the price tag of 5 million euros.
'The club has been looking at me intensively since last summer and that says a lot about the confidence they have in me,' says Karim El Ahmadi.
'That was very important for me. So I’m really happy that everything’s been sorted now. I really see Feyenoord as the next level, despite the sporting disappointments of the past few years. Feyenoord continues to be a fantastic club, and a top club if you look at the history books, the supporters and the players they have here, like Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Roy Makaay.'
