"Kargaly is a giant and, undoubtedly, unique mining-metallurgical complex. Its uniqueness is absolutely evident if we compare it with not only neighboring mining centers but also with numerous mining complexes in northern Eurasia. Many features distinguish the Kargaly between others copper producing centers in ancient Eurasia: the extreme antiquity, huge number of mining-works traces, abundance of impressive archaeological and historical sites."
