Karen J. Warren

Karen J. Warren (born 1947) is an author, scholar and Professor of Philosophy at Macalester College. She has written extensively in the fields of critical thinking, environmental ethics and ecofeminism. She has written more than 40 articles and edited or co-edited five anthologies, authored Ecofeminist Philosophy: A Western Perspective on What It Is and Why It Matters (2000) and is close to completing a ground-breaking anthology, Gendering Western Philosophy: Pairs of Men and Women Philosophers From 5th Century B.C.E. to the Present (forthcoming 2004). Warren's scholarly projects explore the connections between the subordination of women and others, and the subordination of the environment.
