Karen Cellini
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Karen Cellini (born 13 May 1958) is an American actress, best known for replacing Catherine Oxenberg in the role of Amanda Carrington in the 1980s prime-time drama Dynasty. The recast proved unpopular with viewers of the series; Amanda was abruptly written out the series part-way through Cellini's first season in the role and the character was not seen again thereafter.
In 2005 she went on to star in a Scream -esque horror movie entitled Seriously Twisted in which she played the character Liz Mason. Her surname: Cellini, is pronounced Cheh-LEE-nee, as in Vince Cellini.
Points of interest:
- Karen has a twin sister named Kate.
- She originally auditioned for the role of Channing Carter Colby on Season 2 of The Colbys before being offered (and accepting) the character of Amanda previously occupied by Catherine Oxenberg in the fifth and sixth TV season's of Dynasty.
