Karen Brucene Smith

Karen Brucene Smith, of Texas, is the first delegate of the United States to win the Miss International title in 1974.[1]
In 1971, she represented her country in the Miss World pageant in London, United Kingdom, where she placed sixth. Three years after, she competed in Miss International in Tokyo, Japan, where she triumphed and became the first American to win the competition.
She is also the co-founder of the famous Galvan Flying Circus whose members include Cris Galvan, current member of Amen (band).
