Kardinya is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Melville. Its postcode is 6163. Kardinya has many attractive houses and villa houses. Many international students and locals rent residences in Kardinya because of its proximity to first rate educational facilities, Murdoch University, Murdoch College and to the private college located in O'Connor.

Kardinya has its own local shopping Centre called Kardinya Park. It has a Coles Supermarket, Kmart, Bakers Delight and Australia Post.

There is an IGA supermarket and a local pub just outside Kardinya Park called "The Kardy" Liquor store/tavern. Near this there is a row of shops along South Street which consists of Chicken Treat, a local Fish and Chip shop, Chinese restaurant, 24-hour delicatessen, and a Fruit and Vegetable shop.

Local residents living in Kardinya can also head west along South Street and find the row of shops in O'Connor. Booragoon Garden City is 10 minutes by car.

A number of buses go through Kardinya. The 98/99 Circleroute bus travels along South Street and links up with the Murdoch Park n Ride, and the new Southern Train Line.

Kardinya only has one major place of education, Kardinya Primary School, located on Ochiltree Way. The school has a proud and rich history, and holds a proud record of achievements in areas of sporting and academic excellence. There are various other schools and universities scattered in neighbouring suburbs, including Winthrop Baptist College, Murdoch College, Murdoch University and Melville Senior High School.
