Karamanli Turkish

Works that were published in Ottoman Turkish using Greek script are called Karamanlidika or Karamanli Turkish. This reveals another cross-cultural concern for these two languages. Despite the fact that the official government language was Ottoman Turkish written in Arabic script, the Anatolian Orthodox Christian community published many works in Karamanlidika, some of them published by Evangelinos Misailidis, by the Anatoli or Misailidis publishing house (Misailidis 1986, p. 134). Karamanli works represent unique cultural and historical nuances of the period that Karamanli people existed. Unfortunately, neither Karamanli people nor the Karamanli language exist anymore. The only evidence of their past history is the works they published.
