Kara (pronounced /kɛərə/) Scott is a TV personality, journalist and poker player in the UK. Born in Canada, Kara has been working in the UK media since 2002. Having trained in Muay Thai while she lived in Canada, she landed the job of Sports Presenter for Five's martial arts show "Now is the Time: Night of Combat" and moved on to associate produce the show as well.

She was the host for two series of "World Series of Backgammon" which aired on Eurosport and was also one of the main hosts of the award winning show "Poker Night Live." She quickly immersed herself in the poker media and now has a regular column in industry magazine "Flush" as well as having articles published in "Poker Player Magazine" and her poker exploits have been documented in other poker media such as "CardPlayer Magazine", "Online Gambling Magazine" and "UK PokerNews." Kara is also one half of the duo behind UK poker podcast "On The Rail" which is currently being hosted on the Poker Player Magazine Website.

Currently, Kara is one of the faces of Sky Poker on Ch846 (alongside Helen Chamberlain, Richard Orford and Norman Pace) a dedicated poker channel which launched in Feb 2007 as well as being the TV Host for the 2007/2008 season of the European Poker Tour. Her Poker game has led to her being asked to play in various Celebrity Poker Heats on Challenge and Five and her biggest win to date is placing 6th in the PartyPoker.net World Women's Open which aired on Five in late 2007, winning her $5000.

Kara is also involved in the film world and was one of the stars (and the line producer) for martial arts film "Sucker Punch" staring Danny John-Jules.
