What does Kapil do for living now? I understand that Dev Syndicates folded up in 1993.

Kapil owns a company called Dev-Mushkosh, which specialises in lighting up stadiums in India. Moreover, he is a consultant with several leading companies apart from being the brand ambassador of few leading brands. Kapil planned out his living very well during his playing days that he continues with the same lifestyle of those days.

Note ; i have done research of best ODI allrounder on basis of ICC ranking and put on this kapil dev page. but someone is deleting it. can u please help.

[edit] Hindi needs correction

The Devanagari script representation of Kapil's name is wrong. It reads as "Kapli Dev." Someone who knows how to do it, please correct. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by JosefK (talkcontribs) 19:26, 27 April 2007 (UTC).

Currently it says कपिल देव which is Kapil Dev and i dont see anything wrong Kalyan 20:16, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Well, maybe it's my browser or font or something, but in Firefox 2.x on WinXP Pro, it definitely reads as "Kapli Dev", even in your comment above. The matra should be on the p, not on the l. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by JosefK (talkcontribs) 17:40, 14 May 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Reclassified importance

The merits of Kapil Dev as "high importance":

  • His selection as India's best Cricketer of the century
  • His peers (all-rounders of the 80s): Imran Khan, Richard Hadlee, Ian Botham are all assessed as "High"
  • His stats status as one-time record holder of Most number of wickets in Test cricket
