Kapitein Broos

Kapitein Broos (1821-1880) was a fighter against the Suriname. He was the leader of a large rebel camp of the Maroons often called the Bakabusi Nengre. The offspring of Kapitein Broos is manifested in three families, who are still alive today: Deekman, Babel and Landveld.
