Talk:Kaoru Genji

[edit] Proposed Move
Kaoru Genji is too weird. 1) It is not a convention to reverse the original name order for ancient people. 2) and more over "Genji" is not surname. It is a conventional name for his clan, and never combined with given name. He could be Minamoto no [xxxx, not given in the book - Kaoru is a nickname], but never "Kaoru Genji" as far as I understand. So I think this article should be renamed as just "Kaoru". In the text he is always referred as Kaoru or Kaoru no kimi. Not Kaoru Genji. Or is there any convention to call him in this way in English translation, even it sounds strange? --Aphaia 04:22, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
