[edit] I would like to know more…
Please, excuse me for being such a contemptible idiot, unable to understand what the “Monobook Script” (and even what a script) is, and what it is meant for? You used it to edit the Ukrainian language article (and others, possibly), and I just can't understand the way it helps to do things.
Many thanks forward for your help.
Have a nice day. ✓ Kanġi Oĥanko (talk) 09:29, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- It removes unnecessary links to date fragments and adds metric conversions. Lightmouse (talk) 12:46, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] RE:Afghanistan
Hey Kanġi Oĥanko, from what I can see, you had nothing to do with the protection of Afghanistan. See what protection is, is a technical means by which an article is "protected" from allowing editors to edit. There are two two types of protection, semi-protection (which stops anonymous users, and editors with accounts less than 4 days old from editing) and full-protection (which stops anyone except for system administrators, like myself, from editing the page). I am a system administrator (known as an "administrator," "admin," "system operator," or "sysop") which means I have the technical ability to implement protection on an article, delete pages, and block accounts. I fully-protected Afghanistan because User:Tajik007 and User:Carl.bunderson were edit warring on the page. User:Tajik007 was blocked from editing for 31 hours for what s/he did, but since there is a content dispute, the page should remain protected until consensus is reached on the talk page. So from what I can see you did absolutely nothing wrong. If you have anymore questions about this, feel free to ask (although I may not reply for a couple hours, I am about to log off right now). If you have any technical questions or any other type of question about using Wikipedia, you can also ask me or you can ask our help desk, which should give you a quick and insightful answer to your questions. Cheers, « Gonzo fan2007 (talk ♦ contribs) 22:48, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- Your welcome, and don't worry about it, I would be glad to answer any questions you have. I've been here for a solid year now, so I think I know my way around pretty well :-) I'm not really in to the whole formal adoption process, just because I don't have a heck of a lot of time on my hands, but like I said, if you have any question or need any help, just drop by on my talk page. Have a good day! « Gonzo fan2007 (talk ♦ contribs) 02:39, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Customizing a toolbox
Hi to anyone who could help!
How can I customize the “toolbox” we have just below the edit window. I do not need Cyrillic, Greek and IPA scripts and most of the Latin letters (I have non-virtual keyboards for this), but need e.g. mkhedruli alphabet and, most of all, those </br>, <small></small> and others.
Furthermore, is it possible to add to this toolbox templates and some infoboxes I often use?
Many thanks forward for helping! ✓ Kanġi Oĥanko (talk) 15:53, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- Go to the template you are embedding and copy the code into somewhere in your userspace. From there you can remove parts of the code and add too. Asenine 15:56, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Thank you!
Dear Kangi,
Thank you for your many words of kind support at my recent RFA. Since you were quite vocal about the username issue, suggesting that I should keep the username even though the literal translation could be offensive, I thought you might like to comment at User talk:Xenocidic/RFA where I have invited community input. (also, a further thank-you note is hidden below). and of course, you can always get me at our adoption subpage =). warm regards, xenocidic (talk) 02:36, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] I'm sorry
I mourn for the loss of your friend. The loss of any human being diminishes each of us a bit. May the memories of the good he did be cherished , and his failings be recalled only by the Most Merciful of Judges. --Orange Mike | Talk 15:21, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- The color orange has been associated with some very stupid people. I am proud, on the other hand, to call myself a supporter of the ideals of the Orange Revolution of your homeland. --Orange Mike | Talk 18:53, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Response
Firstly, I'm sorry for you loss. Thank you for responding to my message, he had made a table here, under "Transliteration of foreign sounds," though it has since been removed by someone for being unsourced and I believe some native Hebrew speakers were concerned at the time if it was accurate or not. Unfortunately, I do not have the knowledge myself, or have the ability to ask your friend now. Regards. Epson291 (talk) 05:49, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
