'Kannur City' by itself is the name of a place within Kannur (a few kms from Kannur 'town'). The word 'City' is part of the name of the place, and not implied to designating it as a city. For more info, please see the Kannur article. Shijaz 18:53, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
