This does seem like an interesting technology but the current article reads like a sales pitch. I'd love to read a more neutral discussion of exactly how "cutting-edge" it really is and whether it's really true that "Studios get games to market faster with richer content at a much lower cost"... --12.107.120.162 21:31, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

Agreed. I've made some interim modifications, and I appreciate additional constructive suggestions to improve this article. Afrech 17:58, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

The reason this reads like a sales pitch is because it's virtually word-for-word the sales pitch from Kaneva's site. Aside from any other issues, this software appears to be entirely vapor; nothing has changed on it for months, and no new developments appear to be forthcoming. [27 January 2007]

I have used the software. It is NOT vaporware. A few months ago I tried it out. This page needs a rewrite, though. Katori22 23:59, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

It would be nice if this page could have a few examples of clients using Kaneva?

[edit] Criticisms

Criticisms might be a relevant section, but this was not a balanced discussion and poorly written besides. I think it would be preferable to just have a page comparing the features of different game engines. Andicat 19:47, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

I have an avatar, or two in Kaneva 3D! Love it! Been on for little over a year now and the changes have been substantial! Completely new look in avatars that are closer to real scale now and so many shops to buy clothes, furniture, appliances and building materials! I own a home, HangOut and acerage in the game and keeps me busy trying to add or change themes or enter contests! Kaneva also has "Happy Hour" which means you can sign into the game Mon. Wed. and Sat. nites to earn "rewards" of $500/nite for being on for 45 minutes so that the servers can be tested! We are also able to actually buy "credits" and able to do much more with this real money. I have tons of screen shots of different areas that you can visit or play dance game they have added there or just relax and watch your videos on the big screen! What I enjoy most is the social aspect of the game! I have met some wonderful people that have become an important part of my rl! I have in fact purchased credits but it is not necessary! I find that making sure I'm in for Happy Hour is sufficient to buy any item I need or want! Some people's time is extremely valuable though and I know few people who just purchase credits so they can build to their heart's content! I am NOT employed by Kaneva and just wanted to add this since you seem to want some personal information about the game! Hope this helps! If you want screen shots I sooo have them! Have a wonderul day! Take care and Blessings:) Think I put this in the wrong section! Sorry! I'm new to this! first time for everything! —Preceding unsigned comment added by TiaMary (talk • contribs) 02:32, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Reads like an advert, relation to kaneva.com?

How about adding the 'reads like an advert' fixme template? I don't know how to do it or I'd add it myself.

Also, is this related to Kaneva.com the social 3D second-life look-alike multiplayer game? If not, it would be nice to have some disambiguation link or something, as the two things are confusingly similar (3D engine and 3D game named Kaneva)

Ok, I figured out how to add the advert template, and added it. Also, it seems this is the game engine used for the kaneva.com game.
