Talk:Kanan Makiya
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
- "Makiya has collaborated on two films for television, the most recent of which exposed for the first time the 1988 campaign of mass murder in northern Iraq known as the Anfal"
What is the second film? I changed it to read, "Makiya has collaborated on two films for television..."- Mcasey666 12:46, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Yeah that rumor-type stuff needs a cite. This much is in the October 7, 2007, NYT Magazine article:
"Makiya's life is no longer what it was. In 2003, on returning to Iraq, he reunited with his sweetheart from high-school days, married and took her back to Cambridge."
But this part of the Wikipedia article is just rumor so far:
"Evidence is also emerging that Makiya may have had his own selfish reasons to advocate the war. He wanted to marry his high school sweetheart who was married to a very senior Bath party official. The war ensured the death of the aforementioned official, Makiya married the woman and they live in Cambridge, MA at this time."
