Kanji Tsuda (津田寛治 Tsuda Kanji?, born 27 August 1965 , Fukui, Fukui) is a Japanese actor.

He played Katsuya Tokunaga in the Japanese hit The Grudge.

He is married and has one child. He is left handed. His blood type is AB.

He is managed by La Sette talent agency.

Tsuda was working part-time at a coffee shop for ten years before he started his successful career. The coffee shop where Kanji Tsuda worked is located near Aoyama Studio, so many directors or movie directors often come to eat there. His first movie was Sonatine which was directed by Takeshi Kitano. Kitano often uses the shop and Kanji Tsuda knew that, so he gave his resume to Kitano directly. This act launched his successful career. After he acted in Sonatine, a lot of jobs came to him. He has played more than 130 roles in movies, TV commercials, and plays. Most of his roles are supporting roles.

In late years, he appears for movies of a nameless supervisor such as Yoichiro Morikawa, because he hopes to get the same benefit from Kitano in a young generation.
