The KANIKANAKA FESTIVAL has their beginnings like a scholastic exercise of the university of the Complexion of Monterrey with the name of HUMAN SOUND, dedicated to make events to beneficence begins the search by new musical sounds of the independent scene, spent the time is decided to create a massive festival with a new name inspired by the hawaian culture and in the 2004 great acceptance occurs to know this event obtaining until considering one of the events of independent music but important in the city of Monterrey in Mexico until today, in both first years Division, Conspiracion Alpha 5, Phantastica, She's To Tease participated to bands like The Noise and Delinquent Habits, stops year 2006 returns with a repertoire varied with bands like Group Chambelan, Dear Ghost, Funky Junkies, Los Salvajes, 7 Black, Los Suavecitos and but artists all of independent means of the city, in the 2007 are expected this festival again although not yet information of the alignment, the people in charge of this event is had, Mauricio Mancias and Israel Garci'a follows the constant fight by fresh music and supporting the new bands as well as other already consolidated, because in addition to the festival they have promoted monthly events with important bands like Metric, Stereo Total, Riot in Belgium, The Locust, XBXRX, Maria Daniela y su Sonido Lasser, Los Dynamite, Descartes to Kant, etc.
