Kanhirode is a census town in Kannur district in the Indian state of Kerala.
kanhirode also has a pleasant group of people who conducts a lot of community based programmes such as career guidance programmes, karunya clinic which caters health care to the needy , kaval furnitures which trains youth to become self sufficient.

As of 2001 India census[1], Kanhirode had a population of 13,954. Males constitute 47% of the population and females 53%. Kanhirode has an average literacy rate of 82%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 85%, and female literacy is 79%. In Kanhirode, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age. AL HUDA school is a turning point in the history of this place. kanhirode islamiya trust is running this school.the school is keeping very high standard.its academic and extra carricular activities attract many people.
