Kang Ho Dong (강호동, born June 11, 1970) is a Korean MC and comedian, who first became known to Koreans as the top Korean traditional wrestler.

[edit] Profile

Born in Jinju to a family of two brothers and two sisters, Kang graduated from MaSanSangEop High School(마산상업고등학교). He was first a Korean wrestler before appearing on MBC and starting as a comedian ("gag-man"). He was one of the main hosts of SBS's popular variety program X-Man along with Yu Jae-seok, in addition to hosting his own variety show Real Romance Love Letter on the same network. Although initially popular (especially X-Man, which occasionally entered the Top 20 TV charts), both shows were cancelled due to sinking ratings.

He has since moved on to hosting other variety shows, including Goldfish (a variety/acting program), the first part of KBS's "Happy Sunday" line-up (initially Are You Ready? which is now independent, now a variety/travelling show called 2 Days, 1 Night), and Star King, a variation of Star Search. Also, he co-hosted Yashimmanman, a weekly late-night talk show in which celebrity guests answer 2 main questions posted on the show's website and try to match the most frequent answers given by netizens.

On November 9, 2006, Kang married Lee Hyo Jin, whom he had been dating secretly for 2 years; she is 8 years his junior.
