Kandankali

Kandankali is an ancient village in Kerala, India. The village is situated about two kilometers south of the town of Payyanur in Kannur district. Kandankali, traditionally has been home of progressive movements and many forms of traditional and ritualistic arts like Theyyam, Poorakkali and Kolkali. The population of the village is alomost entirely constituted by Hindus who by and large are very secular in their outlook. The place is very scenic and is bounded on its east and south side by the beautiful Perumba river.
