[edit] Minerva McGonagall
Welcome to the Wikipedia! Concerning your recent edits to Minerva McGonagall, you should not delete content from the Wikipedia without first reaching a consensus on the talk page. The list is not redundant, and several other lists like that one are present in articles about works of fiction. As such, I am going to revert your edits. Feel free, however, to reach me on my talk page if you want to discuss this or other subjects. Also, check out the Help pages and Wikipedia:Getting Started. Happy editing! Belard 22:44, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
P.S.: deviantArt is soooo cool...
- The list is redundant if there is the exact same list on the sidebar. Kamiawolf 13:04, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Dear user; I understand you are new to Wikipedia. Before starting edit wars, please learn how to contribute. You don't contribute by deleting content without consensus on the talk page; it's that simple. The list on the sidebar lists the other Wikipedias (i.e., languages) that have that article. Some languages that were in the list do not have a wikipedia, or don't have that page. Thus, the list has useful information, and should be kept in the page. However, if you have a strong opinion about this, please talk about it on the talk page of that article. I am not going to revert it again, but I will take it to the talk page, which is what we should both have done, and expose my views about it. I expect you to do the same. Belard 23:07, 5 June 2006 (UTC) oops, sorry, I thought you had reverted it again, my mistake. after all, we all make mistakes ;) Belard 23:10, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, mea culpa, you're absolutely right; I was arrogant and I was acting with a hot head (among other things) Belard 06:32, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Edit War
People are constantly changing the table at the bottem of the page. Wikipedia is not for predictions. If you have any hard evidence supporting the Hagrid and Flitwick successions (as in page numbers in the book) then post that here. Otherwise, no more specualtions. Everything should be at "T.B.D" unless you can prove for sure you are right. Stop the edit war! Kamiawolf 03:31, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
- I am ForestH2 not logged in though. The reason why I keep reverting simply is in Book 3 when Harry and Hermione go to McGonnagall's office, they return and Flitwick is there doing the Sorting Cermony. I would guess the Deptuy Headmaster or Headmissteress would do it. In Book 6, McGonnagal is refered by Hagrid as the next Headmaster. About, Hagrid and Griffindor, McGonagall calles him in at the end of Book 6. Why would she call him in just to talk to him? She didn't call Filch or any other teacher in. That's why Hagrid would become the new Head of Griffindor. Think about what I said. ForestH2

- This is still just all guessing and speculations. Its not a proven fact. Not until we know for sure (as in, when the last book comes out) can it be on wikipedia. Its still just a prediction to say that Hagrid or Flitwick are next in line because they havent been officially named as such. Kamiawolf 08:18, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

- Anything not specifically spelled out in the books should be excluded, especially from the infobox. This includes whether or not McGonagall succeeds Dumbledore and who succeeds McGonagall. Speculation should be confined to a specific area meant for it.Rhindle The Red 13:26, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

- What about having {{citationneeded}}? on all of them? It is all speculation though. I guess ethier will wait or will add citationneeded on the infobox. ForestH2

hi there. ive noticed that you contribute quite a bit to keeping the DA article quite sane - and seem to be quite sane yourself about doing it! :D the reason why im saying hello is because ive been thinking about what it would take to get DA up to good article status and then hopefully on to becoming a FA and i think to do it one needs to be talking to other frequent contributors. later on tonight im goign to read up about the GA process and see what can be done.
