I haven't heard so, but it may be possible. Recent information about him is not readily available. Apparently he did retire more than 10 years ago [1], however, he was still making new fossil finds roughly the time [2]. Btw, thanks for your excellent work on Louis Leakey, Koobi Fora and Lake Turkana articles! Julius Sahara 16:47, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
