[edit] Kameba should be swiched to kamoebas
One reason is that in godzilla tokyo sos they did not say kameba as the name but kamoebas. An other more websites say its kamoebas. Next is in space amoeba says it kamoebas. Last in go godman they say kamoebas. Thoses are my reasons. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.62.226.143 (talk) 16:10, 17 March 2007 (UTC).
[edit] ADD AN TAXBOX
If most of the other kaju got taxbox this one should also. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.62.226.143 (talk) 22:52, 30 March 2007 (UTC).
[edit] Requested move

Kamoebas (kaiju) → Kameba — This was the original location of the page prior to a recent page move stuggle made it impossible to move back without administrator aid. The turtle monster's Japanese name is Kamēba (カメーバ?) but some believe it is supposed to be spelled "Kamoebas". This argument appears to lack sufficient verifiability for the change. If the name Kamoebas cannot be verified as the official intention then Kameba should be used by default. –Gunslinger47 01:11, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Survey
- Add # '''Support''' or # '''Oppose''' on a new line in the appropriate section followed by a brief explanation, then sign your opinion using ~~~~. Please remember that this is not a vote; comments must include reasons to carry weight.
- Support Should be moved to Kameba if no evidence can be found for "Kamoebas". Scottandrewhutchins 15:05, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose. If you what proof gun what ever, in tokyo sos they called him kamoebas not kameba. THERE! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Monster fan (talk • contribs).
- In the English subtitles? Are they official or fansubs? Isn't S.O.S. also from an alternate timeline? Is this the only official translation? What is he called in official translations for other films? Why does Google show an online preference of 10-to-1 of Kameba over Kameobas? –Gunslinger47 03:45, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Discussion
- Add any additional comments:
I would like to see something published between 1970 (when Gezora•Ganime•Kamēba: Kessen! Nakai no Daikakiju was made) and 1996 (end of the Hesei Godzilla series) that is of more credibility than a fanzine, that calls the character "Kamoebas". I think, at best, it is a neologism for the monster, based on a title I do not believe it ever bore on-screen. My VHS copy is called "Yog: The Space Amoeba" on the box and "Yog-- Monster from Sapce" on the film print itself). --Scottandrewhutchins 03:52, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- So... support, right? –Gunslinger47 09:07, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- The film being titled "Space Amoeba" by a video dealer is irrelevant as to whether the monster's name is "Kamoebas." If you are say "So you are asking for support?" then my answer is yes.--Scottandrewhutchins 15:04, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

This article has been renamed from Kamoebas (kaiju) to Kameba as the result of a move request. --Stemonitis 07:36, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Move back to Kamoebas
The name "Kamoebas" is stated on the character's official logo and is trademarked. This page should be moved.

- Which logo? Do you have a courtesy link? –Gunslinger47 21:46, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
The current issue of Video Watchdog uses the "Kameba" spelling. --Scottandrewhutchins 18:01, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
カメーバ=Kamēba. Kamoebas would be カミーバス, since "amoeba" is "アミーバ" (amība). --Scottandrewhutchins 20:33, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
Then obviously video watchdog is wrong. Here's the character's logo, from the back of the Tokyo SOS DVD, complete with trademark.
