[edit] Spelling
Is not the correct spelling "Kamakiras"? --Scottandrewhutchins 13:47, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
No, it isn't. Its name is "Kamacuras", as can be seen on its official character logo on the backs of both the Son of Godzilla and Godzilla: Final Wars DVDs. The correct spelling of the monster's name is "Kamacuras" and I'm requesting that it be moved back.

- What's the evidence for "kamakiras"? As far as I can tell, "kamakuras" is both the official spelling, and the more common one in English language sources, per a simple Google test. Unless there's a good argument for "kamakiras", I'm prepared to move the article back later today. -GTBacchus(talk) 15:15, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- Don't think it about Scottandrewhutchins. Don't even think about persuading people to thinking it's Kamakiras like you did with Caesar. Don't act whine and cry because you want Kamakiras to stay. Look at the image, does it look like the english name is Kamakiras to you? Don't think about starting an edit war again. End of discussion. --Naruto134 00:00, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Requested move
- The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the proposal was Kamacuras → Kamakiras — Kamakiras is the more authentic name. I have seen no reference to "Kamacuras" in an print literature, only online. "Kamakiras" is identical to the Japanese name, merely dropping the final u that is barely pronounced. Please cite something other than fan sites or Tri-Star that uses the "Kamacuras" spelling. - Support There seems little or no support for the Kamacuras spelling. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Scottandrewhutchins (talk • contribs).
[edit] Discussion
- Add any additional comments:
- The article in the Japanese Wikipedia has the title カマキラス but the lead reads "カマキラス (Kamacuras)" including the word in the Latin alphabet. It was added in this November 2005 edit. Fg2 11:24, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

This article has been renamed from Kamacuras to Kamakiras as the result of a move request. --Stemonitis 07:12, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

- Scottandrewhutchins enough with this. Your beginning another war about a monster's name. If you don't you knock it off, I will have you blocked by an administrator. --Naruto134 00:00, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
