Kamoto (鹿本郡; -gun) is a district located in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan.
As of the Yamaga merger but with 2003 population statistics, the district has an estimated population of 31,088 and the density of 472.39 persons per km². The total area is 65.81 km².
