Kaminiikawa District, Toyama

Kaminiikawa (上新川郡; -gun) is a district located in Toyama, Japan.

As of 2003, the district has an estimated population of 34,491 and a density of 53.31 persons per km². The total area is 646.98 km².

The district dissolved on April 1, 2005, when the towns of Osawano and Oyama merged with the municipalities of Fuchu, Hosoiri, Yamada and Yatsuo (all from Nei District) and the old city of Toyama to form the new city of Toyama. Nei District was also dissolved as a result of this merger.
