Kamieniec

Kamieniec is a common Slavic (especially Polish) toponym, usually denoting a place founded on a rocky mountain or stony embankment of a river or stream. It is a part of or the entire name of several dozen places, mostly in or near Poland. Among places called Kamieniec are:
- Kamieniec Litewski, the modern town of Kamianiec in Belarus
- Kamieniec Podolski, a Polish fortress in Podolia, in what is now the town of Kamianets-Podilskyi in Ukraine
- Kamieniec Mazowiecki, a village (formerly a town) in Mazovia, near the town of Gostynin
- Kamieniec Ząbkowicki, a village in Lower Silesian Voivodeship, also known by its Germanized name of Camentz
- Kamieniec in Kłodzko County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship (SW Poland)
