Kambalda is a mining town in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, about 60 km south of Kalgoorlie. Minerals extracted in the area include gold and nickel ores. Nickel was first discovered in the area in 1966 by Western Mining Corporation (now part of BHP Billiton).[2] Nickel from the Yilgarn craton is now mined in the area by several large companies.

At the 2006 census, Kambalda had a population of 2,705.[1] Kambalda is in the Electoral district of Murchison-Eyre.
