Kamalpur Musa

Kamalpur Musa is a village in Hazro Tehsil, Attock District, Punjab, Pakistan. Its neighbours include Waisa, Malhu, and Daman. It lies in the largest village community of Pakistan called CHACH. It has a Bank, Schools, a post office and a hospital. About 40% of people here have foreign source of income like some of them are in the UK, Hong Kong, Dubai and the USA. It lies between Malhoo and Waisa. The village has produced many well known personalities. The current Chairman P.I.A MR.Zafar Ahmed Khan(Mashwani) belongs to the village.late Col.retd.Muzaffar khan.late retd. major Ghulam Haider khan . Late capt. Mohabbat khan( retd.deputy commissioner) was also born here.Late Dr.Mohammad Iqbal khan,(Cardiologist) MD(HAMILTON HOSPITAL,NEW JERSEY,USA) . MR.Riaz Ahmed khan Retd S.D.E(Geological survey of pakistan). Justice Mohammad Bilal Khan of Lahore high court also belong to the village. The land is very fertile.Wheat is cultivated over almost 95% of the land bordered with mustard(sarson).Main source of cultivation is wells. According to W.H.O (WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION),the water is of the best quality (rich in minerals,taste and purity). The younger generation is quite devoted to education as seen by the number of students leaving the area for higher education. There are two religious schools(madrassas)one each for boys and girls. A number of private schools. A charity hospital with good fecilities.(Mainly funded by AL- MUSTAFA TRUST and private donations.) Majority of the people belong to different pathan tribes. Although for some mysterious reason they've given up speaking pashto for hindko, but the customs more or less have remained the same over the centuries. Some of the major pathan tribes are Mominpuri,Mashwani,Nohali(Noon),Musakhel,Syedzai(kori),Akhunzada, Akhunkhel etc. There is a small population of Shaikh family.Their ancestors were well known for their services in the armed forces. Then there is a notable number of Awans as well. Like most pakistani villages Kamalpur musa has also got working class people :Poterrers,Masons,Barbers,Carpenters,Blacksmiths, Weavers etc.
