I am Kalnaur aka David Krupp. Kalnaur has been my "handle" on the internet for the longest time, and I have now simply started using it as a 'net nickname. Most people shorten it to Kal.
[edit] About This User
I am a fan of many things, and will attempt to use this page in a way that adds to the overall presentation of this site. To start off with, I am an artist of absolutly no repute, though I do intend, with time, to change that. My free time is taken up by video games, mostly of the RPG, Adventure, Simulation and RTS types. My favorite series are Final Fantasy, Warcraft, Age of Empires, Baldur's Gate, though there are other games singularly that are in the ranks of "good ones" (whatever my opinion might mean).
As far as music goes, I enjoy Folk metal, Viking Metal, Black metal, Melodic death metal, Folk music, and some Rock, though the definition of that genre is fairly open. In specific, Finntroll, Kalmah, Summoning, Loreena McKennitt, and many things by Green Linnet Records are at the top of my list.
Art is a love of mine, and I enjoy works by John Howe, Tod Lockwood, Dali, Alan Lee, Goya, Raphael, Titian; I also like a lot of that "silly" Romanticism and Fantasy art.
As far as reading goes, my guiding star is J.R.R. Tolkien, with other notables being Neil Gaiman, R. A. Salvatore, Jonathan Stroud, Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. Besides that, many old myths and myth tellers are loved by me, though the Volsunga saga and most of Ovid's Metamorphoses are helpful and hold front ranks in my resources for ideas.
I am an avid fan of entertainment of the fantasy, sci-fi and anime persuasions. Favorites include but are not limited to: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, The Mummy (1999 film),X-Men, Ninja Scroll, Hellsing, Serenity, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Hellboy and Record of Lodoss War.
[edit] Other Bits
I am a college student majoring in Art, with a possible English minor.
I am married.
I spend way to much time on the internet in general, and Wikipedia in specific.
I help run a (currently pathetic) website called Honkydorky.com; this site is intended mostly as a safe haven for those who feel that the internet is "full of assholes", especially geeks who do not want to hear younger or less mature users' comments. It contains a forum, a blog, a comic, and a few links to other sites that are updated on a semi-regular basis. The comic is currently on a break after only 8 strips so we can better evaluate our strategy (read: make a strategy) for making the comics.
