There are many important religious centres belonging to different communities in Kalpetta. Some are Madiyoorkuni Mahavishnu Temple, Maniyankode Sreekrishna Temple, Parswanathaswamy Jain Temple at Puliyarmala, Ayyappa Temple, Gramam Temple, St. Vincent Church, Town Masjid, etc. The major institutions in Kalpetta are S.K.M.J Higher Secondary School, St. Joseph's High School, De-Paul Public School, N.S.S Higher Secondary School, Kendriya Vidyalaya and N.M.S.M Govt College. The scenic beauty of the surrounding mountains of the city is worth a watch. Even though Wayanad is considered to be a rural area, the standard of living here is higher than in many urban towns in Kerala.

I had to remove the above material. If you know where the material came from, please do add it back with appropriate reference notes. Thanks! Mattisse(talk) 17:35, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

P.S. I did find a reference for Ananthanatha Swami Temple. Mattisse(talk) 17:37, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
