This article must be deleted because of my poor English and humiliating aditions made by Sesel and Boothy443. Sorry.

Why are they humiliating? And you can't just ask for it to be deleted like that...Adam Bishop 5 July 2005 05:30 (UTC)

Apparently I must made following statements about the present Wikipedia article.

This article is not an official biography of Kalev Ots and he is not responsible for this.

I have explained circumstances in this article so neutrally and objectively as possible. I have not invented any event in this biography. On this cause, accusing me in personal bias and factual inaccuracy are unjust. Editorial and linguistic adjustments are welcome, but no distorting and incompetent additions.

K. O. is not more „self-styled“ nor „unrecognized“ than any of his predcessors since 1940. He assumed his post as eventual successor appointed by his immediate predcessor, Mihkel Mathiesen, during the latter’s lifetime – procedure foreseen in the Constitution of the Republic of Estonia, 1938 and practiced since1940. Konstantin Päts was informally called Pater Estoniae and I think that also is correct to name his successors with this style.

So many as I know, none of the Prime Ministers in capacity of the President of Republic and governments in exile had no regular mutual diplomatic government-to-government relations with any state nor direct diplomatic recognition. Contacts were held with other governments in exile, most notably with the Polish. A charge d’affaires was sent to (West) Germany in 1984 but I know more about details. Also Aleksander Warma was accepted as diplomatic representative in Paris from 1964 until his death in 1970, but seemingly on his personal diplomatic status as former envoy to Lithuania and Finland before WW II. Remnant diplomatic and consular representatives, being accepted (when ever) only on their peronal diplomatic status by their residence state, were cautious towards government in exile. U. S. accepted consulate general in NY (as legation in London and other consulates) was not connected with government in exile, but was treated, by U. S. government, as remnant institution of, pre-WW II, Republic of Estonia in its own right, but not as representation of government in exile. Government in exile was ignored by this consulate. Ernst Jaakson, the last consul general, was even allowed by U. S. government to appoint eventual successsor to himself, in order to avoid extinction of this consulate, because there was no government competent to appoint new diplomates. Consul general in NY is not the same institution as head of government in exile. Analogically, in the present second republic, president (Arnold Rüütel), prime minister (Andrus Ansip) and consul general in NY (Peeter Reshtshinski) are different persons.

I do not mean, what means „recognized exiled government“ in this context. The former government in exile was not formally recognized as such but was known as such until 1992 (not 1991!) because there were no more institutions claiming this quality. By the way, K. O. is technically not more „in exile“ because he lives in Estonia.

Thus, K. O. is an successor and representative of the, pre-WW II, Republic of Estonia – a state with determined territory (larger about 2,000 kilometres), citizenship (Soviet occupants and colonists excluded), laws, arms (more filigrane drawing) an flag (blue instead of dark blue adopted by second republic) different from the successor state of Estonian SSR, renamed to Republic of Estonia („second republic“) in 1990 and recognized as such in 1991. Indisputably the second republic is always treated as semi-independent successor state of Estonian SSR, which is never occupied by Soviet Union and has no right to any reparation for this, restoration of Eastern border nor terminating of Soviet colonization.

In this quality K. O., successor of Konstantin Päts, is similar to the Comte de Paris (and other heads of Royal Families), who is in his right Head of the French Royal Family and successor of all French kings, independent of the present French republic and any recognition of any state.--Civis 08:07, 11 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] confusing

Maybe someone with better english could better explain the actions of his "government" - I find this all very confusing... heqs 07:14, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

There was not any actions. Do you think really, that the government of the successor state of ESSR allows any such activities in its territory? Kalev Ots holds the "key" for the eventual restoration of the, pre-WW II, Republic of Estonia. Not more. --Civis 05:39, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
I'm starting to get it now, it was just very confusing at first, I did not understand the subtleties of the events of early 1990s Estonia. I think the article should be more clear, that's all, especially the intro. heqs 09:15, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Article in unknown language

This article is published also in another Wikipedia in unknown language: [1]. Knows anybody, which language chrp means? --Civis 08:53, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

I believe it is Cherokee. after all, it has a picture of Sequoyah in the top left corner. Fascinating. Ohpuu 09:25, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Why reverted?

[edit] AfD candidate?

Seems totally non-notable, 0 hits google scholar [2], 0 hits google books [3]. Martintg 21:24, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

I don't know about AfD - I have no real opinion about this. The man and his fictional government are... curious, but nothing more. Perhaps move the article to Nõmme government (Estonian: Nõmme valitsus), as that might be notable enough for inclusion (see [4], [5], [6] etc - however, I am very unsure if any of these can be considered a reliable source). If you decide to do AfD, please do bundle Ahti Mänd with the nomination. -- Sander Säde 06:27, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
